Building Futures
is an exciting new series of classroom manuals designed to integrate career education concepts with curriculum and multiple intelligence theory. Spanning grades K -12, this series of manuals is organized around six subject areas and was developed in accordance with the National Academic Content Standards.


Each manual provides an educator with practical information regarding career education and multiple intellengies theory, and features turnkey classroom activities that are tailored to each subject area. Manuals include a comprehensive introduction sections, instructional resources and integrated classroom activities.

Introduction
The Introduction contains background information on career education and the School-to-Careers movement, including detailed information and data supporting the positive effects of career education on students, teachers and communities. Also included in this section on integrating Multiple Intelligences theory into career education.

Classroom Activities
Each manual comes with 15 classroom activities. Each activity waves the core curriculum subject matter with the career competencies, the SCANS skills and the Multiple Intelligences The lessons are designed to be fun, interesting and interactive, and to involve little preparation time or cost. Individual activities identify the resources needed, step-by-step instructions, reflection/discussion questions and the curriculum connections which indicate links to other subject areas.
